Challenge Cup Guidelines

The Challenge Cup: A Celebration of Georgia’s Softball Elite

The Challenge Cup has become a premier event, attracting top players and showcasing the best of USSSA Slowpitch Softball. As the event grows, so does the competition!

Eligibility Requirements for Players:

To be considered for the Challenge Cup, players must demonstrate the following:

  • Sportsmanship: Be an exemplary player on and off the field, upholding the spirit of the game and respecting USSSA/GSL rules.
  • Teamwork: Be a positive contributor, striving to improve oneself and elevate teammates.
  • Communication: Maintain respectful and positive communication with the Georgia USSSA staff (on & offline)
  • Program Support: Actively support your Georgia USSSA/GSL program.
  • Good Standing: Maintain good standing with Georgia USSSA.
  • Ambassadorship: Be considered a role model and a top player in your position and class.
  • Performance Rating Verification (PRV): Have a PRV equal to or lower than the level you are representing.

Event Participation Requirements:

The number of required events varies by classification:

Women’s D 3 Events (GSL or USSSA) State Championship
Women’s C 3 Events (GSL or USSSA) State Championship
Men’s E 4 Events (USSSA) State Championship
Men’s D 4 Events (GSL or USSSA) State Championship
Men’s C 3 Events (GSL or USSSA) State Championship
Men’s B 3 Events (GSL or USSSA) State Championship
Mixed D 4 Events (USSSA) State Championship
Mixed C 4 Events (USSSA) State Championship
Seniors 2 Events (USSSA) State Championship

The Challenge Cup isn’t just about competition; it’s about representing Georgia USSSA/GSL with pride. We want players who exemplify sportsmanship, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence.

This Year’s Selection Process:

This year, the state leadership team will review player applications and approve final rosters for submission to the Georgia State Office by November 1st.
